Week 16: Final Hazard Report

The most dangerous natural hazard in Australia is a heatwave. More people pass away from heatwaves than any other thing. Addressing heat waves is significant as the destruction is immense. Heatwaves can lead to water shortage, ruin crops and increase health risks. Heatwaves can cause extreme effects on earth.

The country of Australia must take action and mitigate the effects of the heatwave. The government should make green roofs more accessible to its citizens. Designing buildings with cool roofs that reflect sunlight away from structures. The government should give funds so the city can plant trees. The city should make shaded areas accessible so people can cool off.

The first place I would offer help in Melbourne and Adelaide. I would target those areas where heatwaves are long-lasting in southern Australia. I would also take into consideration desserts where heatwaves are common. I would make sure help would reach out to all suburban areas that tend to be vulnerable to heatwaves.

The designated area to build a home hazard-free is the North of Australia. The climate is suitable for people as it had mild temperatures. Seasons like spring and autumn are ideal for human conformity. There are other variations to consider when building a home. You have to determine whether heating or cooling is the main need.

Australia lies under a hole in the

0 zone layer rays will burn your skin off. Heatwaves are Australia's deadliest natural hazard. Australia has a long history of deadly heatwaves. They have harmed most people leaving them hot and uncomfortable. The highest death rates became significantly higher between 1890 and 1939. Areas in Southern Australia lost 1.6 percent of their population to the heatwave. They come with strong winds and make the earth dry. Droughts are at great risk for fires to occur. The frequency of heat waves in Australia is increasing.
