Introduction to Australia 

I am eager to begin my research on the country of Australia! The name Australia originates from the Latin word australis which, means southern. Australia has a large population of 25 million people making, it the sixth-largest country. This country has the most unique and diverse climate. The northern states are usually warm most of the time. The southern states experience cool winters. Australia is the only country that is also a continent. 



Australia has some of the most interesting geographic areas. It's the largest island surrounded by the Indian and the southern Pacific Ocean with a coastline of 36,735 Km long. Australia's largest cities include Sydney. It is well known for its famous landmark. Australia has Sydney harbor bridge some of its ancient geology. The interior of Australia is mainly desert or dry grassland. Australia has a wide range of wildlife. Kangaroos are the most iconic animals.
